CHOOSING MY ACTORS FOR 'TEXTUAL CHEMISTRY

My actors are fictional (unlike my crew), so I have created brief fictional biographies for them.

RUSSELL OLDMAN - playing the central male protagonist, Luke

Russell Oldman is the perfect rom-com boy. He's known for playing super confident, put-together characters, with the perfect tiny amount of awkwardness that makes you realise he's not as perfect as he seems and that there is more to his character below the surface. As Luke, he's the popular, organised, impossible guy, but as he gets mixed up with Amy's chaos the audience can see the deeper side to him. Russell Oldman will be perfect for this film as he is known for his starring roles in romantic comedies such as 'Manchild', 'Impossible Love'. 

EMILY WILLMAN - playing the central female protagonist, Amy

Emily Willman is basically the queen of playing chaotic girls who are a complete mess but in a really lovable way. She’s always dropping things, running late, overthinking everything, and somehow you still want to be her. She’s perfect as Amy because she makes all the awkward, nerdy moments feel real instead of cringey. You can totally believe she’d trip over nothing and then accidentally fall into a love story. She just has that energy. She would be perfect for this role because she has starred in similar roles such as 'The Kissing Curfew' and 'Love Sucks'. 

DAISY RUBINS - playing Amy's best friend and 'confidante', Chloe 

Daisy Rubins is known for her roles as the 'best friend', the one who says exactly what you’re thinking but way louder. She’s funny, slightly dramatic, and 100% the kind of person who would hype you up and call you out at the same time. As Chloe, she’s Amy’s emotional support system but also the one pushing her into situations she probably shouldn’t be in. Every scene she’s in is instantly more chaotic in the best way. Daisy Rubins' energy will be perfect for this role because her chaotic atmosphere mixed with Emily Willman's character will create excitement and tension for the audience. She is known for her role as the best friend in 'Romance is Dead' which is a perfect depiction of the character she will be playing in 'Textual Chemistry'. 

LUCAS DEAN - playing Amy's crush that she gets mixed up with, Luke

Lucas Dean is perfect for playing the third part of the triangle to complicate the plot and drive the narrative. He is known for playing the quiet, shy and nerdy side character, the one who Amy probably should end up with. His energy will be perfect for the role of Luke as he has already perfected this character in the film 'I Love You...Don't I?'.
