MORE DETAILED OUTLINE OF MY OPENING SEQUENCE

I have updated the outline for my opening sequence, with some new ideas about what I want to appear and what I want my characters to be doing so that I can really emphasis the contrast between them.

Sequence 1: Them both getting ready. 

Him: punching in the mirror, does his hair, has a big breakfast, puts on a varsity jacket, leaves house with basketball and duffel bag, shaving, flossing, flexing muscles in the mirror, show his phone - get the messaging theme going, show loads of messages from girls when he wakes up.

Her: fell asleep studying that's why she's late with books all over bed, wakes up 10 mins before has to leave, grabs some random from the floor, brushes teeth for two seconds, doesn't put shoes on properly, trips, grabs loads of books and folders, puts on glasses, does a quick messy bun.

Sequence 2: 

She's leaving house and he's picking her up, he honks a few times and shouts to her hurry up, she runs out the front door and trips over, all her books fall, he makes a witty, sarcastic comment, doesn't let her sit in the front as they're going to pick up his girlfriend. 

When the girlfriend gets in she's 'like, hi' (whatever his name is - to establish he has the same name as her crush) 'ew, why is she here' and he's 'like, you know my mum's forcing me to pick her up otherwise I can't play basketball on the weekends' (establish the fact that his mum forced him to pick her up).

Sequence 3: 

They're going to walk into school together, everyone excited to see him, she goes to her weird neeky friend, they see this neeky boy, the friend is 'like, oooo there's...' (same name as other boy).

They make eye contact and smile at each other, the friend is 'like, omg, have you messaged him yet', she says 'no not yet', the friend says 'you better message him tonight' 

Sequence 4:

She's back in her room studying, she's clearly debating whether to message her crush or not, she decides to just do it and messages him 'hey', we see a shot of boy she hates receiving the message.
