MY CHOSEN PRODUCTION COMPANIES - UNIVERSAL, WORKING TITLE AND STUDIO CANAL

I have now decided which production companies to use to produce my film. I have chosen Universal Pictures, Working Title and Studio Canal.

These three studios have a strong history of collaboration and working together already but each bring unique things to the table. Universal pictures is the powerhouse studio. They dont usually work with other large scale companies like Sony pictures or paramount because they can provide their own large-scale funding, global marketing and wide distribution. They are also competitors. this is why working with working title and studio canal, smaller production companies that can help, but not overtake universal. 

Universal has produced some of the most loved romantic comedies of all time, for example, 'Bridget Jones' Diary', 'Notting Hill' and 'Love Actually', proving that they know how to balance humour and romance with commercial appeal. Their experience will make sure that 'Textual Chemistry' will be successful. Working title specialise in romantic comedies and already have a strong partnership with Universal having created global hits together. Their films have the exact tone that 'Textual Chemistry' needs. They are known for casting great leads that have great chemistry. Studio Canal have European influence so introduce international appeal. Their involvement will make 'Textual Chemistry' feel fresh and not outdated. They will also ensure that the the film will reach beyond just US and UK markets. Because they are a smaller production company they will make the film feel more authentic rather than overly commercialised. 

In conclusion, these three production companies will work perfectly together because they have: proven success as a team, the perfect balance of big and intimate, strong distribution and global reach and will have the perfect mix of humour, romance and charm. These things will make sure 'Textual Chemistry' is a modern classic in the rom com genre.
