OPENING SEQUENCES AND ENIGMA - INTRODUCTION

I've noticed that often in opening sequences they sometimes create enigma by withholding narrative information. I'm going to look at two films from different genres to see how filmmakers create enigma and how it affects the audience. 

The films I'm going to be looking at are: 

1. 'Pulp Fiction' (Crime)

2. 'Inception' (Sci Fi/Heist)
